Macronutrients

The body needs huge amounts of macronutrients, often known as macros, to be healthy. In addition to giving the body energy, macronutrients also enable healthy cellular activity and disease prevention. There are three main types of macronutrients: proteins, fats, and carbohydrates.

For many physiological tissues, including the brain, carbohydrates are the preferred source of energy. Carbohydrates may be converted by the body into glucose, which enters the cells of the body from the circulation and enables cell activity.

Then, we have long chemical chains known as amino acids that make up protein. They are crucial for the development, maintenance, repair, and growth of bodily tissues.

Lastly, an essential nutrient in the diet, fats may also provide the body energy. While some dietary fats may be better for you than others, they are still an important element of your diet and help with hormone synthesis, cell development, energy storage, and vitamin absorption.
