Tomato Soup Cake

Tomato soup cake, weird right?!  But it’s amazing!  This is a recipe that has been in my family forever, I’m saying my Grandma made this cake when my dad was a little kid!  Yikes!  So basically a foolproof recipe and not overpowering on the tomato soup flavor when baked off (although the batter is really tasty too).  It’s also vegan as in no eggs or dairy products; I suppose it’s not vegan in the sense that a can of tomato soup you buy might have dairy in it. Oat Chocolate Chip Cookies

Whole Wheat + Oats = whole grain love
These are great because you can’t tell one bit that they are whole wheat, they taste fantastic.  The best part is they don’t look whole wheat so no one has to know!

Summertime Strawberry Cake

This is my favorite cake for summer time, especially tea parties, a snack, or as a light dessert. You could also think of this cake as a vanilla cake with strawberries atop!  There is no buttercream frosting needed for this cake but by all means it can be topped with it.  The cake by itself is slightly sweet and light. If I do put a topping on this cake, I go with cool whip or yogurt! One suggestion brought to me was to top this cake with a little maple syrup.

Easter Chicks

Baby chicks and cupcakes are here for Easter! Here’s some furry friends to make when the Easter season rolls around. A fun springtime activity for holidays and parties to have everyone make their own (tasty) baby chick! I make these chicks typically with vanilla cupcakes and buttercream. This makes them easier to frost and pat with toasted coconut flakes. Of course though, they can be any flavor you like. Be careful of cake crumbs though if the cupcake is chocolate or red velvet; could start to get messy.
