Nutrition Thyme RD Responsibilities:

  • A proposed menu will be submitted to you every week for weekly meals and 3 weeks before your scheduled event for private dining parties.
  • Once the menu is accepted, I will menu plan, write the grocery list, and heating instructions. Then cook the meals in your kitchen on the scheduled day.
  • Show up on the agreed scheduled day and time prepared to cook. If I’m expected to be more than 15 minutes late, I will call and let you know.
  • Provide advanced notice of any unforeseen cancellation by the Chef.
  • Follow food safety guidelines.
  • Package and label all the food with heating instructions.
  • Clean and disinfect the kitchen with cleaning products before and after cooking.
  • Your kitchen will be clean and orderly and all of my equipment will be removed.
  • Respect your privacy and property.
  • Be dressed in appropriate attire.
  • In order to provide the best possible service and for safety reasons, I won’t be able to answer the phone, the door, or be responsible for work people in the home.

Food Safety:

  • I will ensure proper food safety and handling of food.
  • Once meals are turned over to the client, it is your responsibility to properly handle and maintain. Nutrition Thyme RD is not responsible for problems that may occur with your refrigerator and freezer or due to improper handling and storage of food.
  • If it is discovered that a product is contaminated or has been recalled, I will promptly contact you and advise to avoid them.
  • I highly recommend a food thermometer and it’s required that food is reheated to 165°F.
  • Food should not be left unrefrigerated for longer than 2 hours.
  • It is recommended that frozen food is defrosted in the refrigerator overnight or reheated in the oven. If food is reheated in the microwave, only do this if the food is meant to be eaten right away.
